Online Dating - Should I Try It Again?

When you have developed a relationship through online dating, you meet, even spend time together (or more) and it doesn't work, should you try it again?

YES! I say yes because I have been there and I did try online dating again. I know, when you connect with someone online, spend many hours talking about everything and anything. Share your dreams, desires and pictures. Talk on the phone many times before you finally decide to meet. You were so excited that night you were to meet and so sure everything would be wonderful, so sure you had found your love. If what you had online you did not have in person that happens. It's call chemistry. If it is not there in person there is nothing you can do about it. You may feel sad, lost, and more. You may have walked away from the online dating 'scene' saying you would never do that again. One of the problems of having an online dating relationship fall apart is the old saying "once bitten, twice shy" - but that is true with any relationship!

Time has passed now and you start thinking that maybe, just maybe, you will try online dating again. Will it work this time

Yes It Can!

No matter how you were dating (online or off line) you need to just 'dust yourself off' and give it another try. As hard as it may be in the beginning, you need to try to be as open and honest about who you are and what you want as you were the first time around.

Remember, meeting online is the only difference, it's just a different way of meeting. How many dates did you go through before you even thought of online dating?

Ok, trying again may 'feel' harder, but really the only difference is in the expectation when you finally meet. Just try, and I know this is not easy, but try not to 'fall in love' before you actually meet. You really won't know, for sure, if you are really in love until you do meet.

So yes, do try it again. I did, more than once, and am happily married to the man I met through online dating.
